Free-exit or "panic" hardware is a must in applications where the outside door must be locked, but exiting from the inside is a necessity. This is especially true in schools, large box stores and shopping malls.
Safety/security panic bar kits can be installed at gates/doors that are for emergency exits only and prevent unauthorized property access.
Panic bars are offered with an alarm when pushed and without an alarm. Commonly offered to fit a 36" door/gate frame.
Panic kits are offered with the panic pushbar, a panic shield to prevent reach around and a lock to enter from the outside. The security kits are also offered with an alarm and a strike bracket.
